Job Requisition #: 034277 Driver (Open) Job Description: Key Responsibilities Inspect, report defects, and maintain transport equipment. Willing to learn Omnitracs, or current fleet intelligence platform program. Plan logistics to insure on-time delivery; Hours will vary. Obey all applicable traffic and freight-carrier regulations and laws. Meet performance expectations. Obtain and verify shipping bills of lading and other paperwork. Deliver documentation to the shipping office or appropriate colleague when delivery route is complete. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Relocate trailer assets at our facility. Maintain a safe work record. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Class A CDL Tractor-trailer driving experience with little to no accidents. Strong commitment to safety and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Ability to be an engaged member of a Team. Must be willing and able to deal with customers and working crews in an efficient, courteous, cooperative and business-like manner whether in person or by telephone. Knowledge and Skills Load shipments in delivery trucks. Promotes clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items. Completes reports by entering required information. Provides quality service by following organization standards. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
