Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of MICU experience and 1 year of Epic EMR experience.

Details

• MICU setting caring for critically ill medical patients
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule, 1900-0730
• Every other weekend coverage, subject to change based on need
• 13 or 26 week assignment to assist with holiday coverage
• Floating required to like units within the facility or to other facilities in the area
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of MICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a MICU setting
• At least 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in respiratory/thoracic care, ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill medical ICU patients on ventilators and continuous IV sedation
• Perform cardiac monitoring and respond to emergencies including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with exceptions for Adult ICU positions requiring 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville)
