Product Manager (Entry-Mid Level)

Job Description Job Summary The Product Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of one or more major product lines developed and sustained by GlobalMed. This includes the gathering and prioritizing of requirements for the product, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other company leaders to ensure that financial, timing, and customer satisfaction goals are met. You should have the vision and drive to take an idea from concept to prototype to product and a desire to be involved in all aspects of the process. You should be excited to develop and own new products from scratch in an agile environment and be prepared to steer the team to utilize best practices of a secure development lifecycle within a highly regulated industry. Duties & Responsibilities Manage every aspect of product development from ideation to obsolesce. Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research using multiple channels supported by on-going calls and interviews with customers and prospects. Work closely with product launch teams to help successfully bring new products to market. Assess and identify product opportunities to determine which are worth pursuing. Determine right features for a product to ensure its effectiveness within the market. Contribute to GlobalMed’s continuous improvement mandate by identifying and executing against opportunities to improve the product-to-market process. Collaborate in a cross functional manner to translate product needs into requirements and drive consensus towards validation Keep product and engineering teams organized and on track by helping to create internal goals, deadlines and communication. Work with and manage key outside vendor relationships. Work with management to build project budgets, timelines, documentation, and roadmaps. Develop product decks to communicate the vision and value of the projects the team is working on to key stakeholders. Scope and prioritize activities based on members and business impact. Help maintain the team’s agility as it expands. Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the products the team is developing. Play a key role in taking a concept from ideation, to prototype and ultimately productization and manufacturing. Maintain the team’s roadmap and vision to help break down and translate the big ideas into actionable tasks. Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases. Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, overseeing interdepartmental activities to execute plans. Analyze potential partner relationships for the product. Define feature roadmap for GlobalMed’s products based on business opportunities and market research. Work with sales management and other contributors to evaluate and prioritize opportunities and develop strategy. Work with the Education and Training team to develop product training plan internally and externally. Consult with Customer Support and Success teams to ensure appropriate service levels for the product line. Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to define needs and roll out plans of new product Fulfill other duties as deemed necessary Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training. Master’s Degree in relevant field, preferred Previous Product Management leadership of 3-5 years Experience in healthcare delivery or medical device industry, preferred Skills & Competencies Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Proven track record of leadership in an agile workforce Ability to develop and execute departmental roadmap based on overall company strategy Ability to synthesize diverse and complex information and data and then design refined strategies, solutions, workflows, and procedures Financial modeling in new product development Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Preferred Specialized Knowledge & Experience Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in hardware, web, mobile, API-oriented product offerings. You have shipped a multitude of products & can speak to the process of designing & building them with great detail. Experience working with broadly adopted health information exchange protocols including HL7, FHIR, DICOM, etc. Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of medical practices, and/or other healthcare related facilities. Experience or working knowledge of critical regulations and how they apply to product development initiatives at GlobalMed (e.g. HIPAA, NIST 800-53, ISO 13485). Experience in assessing, distilling, and introducing detailed user requirements to engineering teams Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to work at least 40 per week. Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 7 hours per day. Ability to lift and/or move at least 25 pounds. Ability to perform simple grasping, including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout the entire workday. Occasionally remain in a stationary position throughout day. Occasionally move about inside and outside the premises. Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
