Details 16-bed Med/Surg-Tele unit with a 5:1 patient ratio Patient population includes telemetry and post-op surgical, ortho, and general surgery cases Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips Manages drips including insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone Uses EPIC EMR Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week No call requirements Works every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation if scheduled Requirements Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) Minimum 24 months of Med/Surg and/or Tele experience in a hospital or medical center setting required Ortho and general surgery care experience required Telemetry experience preferred Drip experience with insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone required EPIC charting experience preferred Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred Driver's license required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers accepted with minimum 24 months of current nursing experience Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any UPH market facility Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed Illinois-licensed RNs must also hold an active Iowa license or provide proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact license during compliance American Traveler Job ID P-748919.
