Summer & Fall 2026 Cohorts.Main Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis HospitalThe Main Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center, delivering high-quality surgical care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics.27 Operating RoomsSeven specialty teams, including: General Surgery, Gynecologic Surgery, Urologic Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Orthopedic Surgery, NeurosurgeryFour state-of-the-art surgical robotsWe are committed to developing confident, well-rounded OR nurses through comprehensive training across all service lines, including instruction in both circulating and scrub roles.Operating Room Nurse Residency ProgramDesigned for nurses without prior Operating Room experience, our residency program supports success through multiple learning modalities:Classroom didacticsOnline learning modulesHands-on clinical practiceProgram Structure:Residency length: 5 monthsMentorship: 1 additional monthFollowing residency, nurses transition into a specialty mentorship, receiving focused training in their assigned service line.Residency hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pmProposed Schedule (Days) - 30-minute call time requirementThree 12-hour shiftsFour 10-hour shiftsFive 8-hour shiftsAt Mercy, we believe careers should align not only with your skills, but also with your heart.
