Electrical and Mechanical Technician / Onsite in Austin

A manufacturing and test equipment organization is seeking an Electrical and Mechanical Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic test systems in laboratory and manufacturing environments. This is a 6-month contract role based in Austin, Texas with initial training conducted in Allen, Texas. Travel between the United States and Canada will be required for project-related assignments. This position focuses on keeping electronic test equipment operational through installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities. The technician will work across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and coolant systems while supporting engineering and manufacturing teams. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting of motion control components, repairing facility and equipment‑related hardware issues, documenting work performed, and complying with ESD and workplace safety procedures.
