Job Title: Chauffeur

Reports to: Transportation Director

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and a West Virginia driver’s license with no violations. Must be well qualified in safety operating the buses used for residents’ transportation.

Basic Function:

Responsible for the daily routine transportation provided for the residents of the community and for trips planned by activities. Coordinates daily transportation schedule with the other driver. May provide emergency transportation when requested. Works under the supervision of the Transportation Director, and the Lifestyle Director for activity planned trips.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Take residents on daily shopping trips, regular visits to doctors, dentists, activity planned trips, etc.
• Arrange the schedules for the transportation trips, assuring that the individual trips are well coordinated.
• Keep mileage log of the daily runs.
• Be courteous and enjoy working with older people.
• Be dependable and trustworthy.
• Charge residents for additional transportation services.
• Be concerned for the safety and well-being of the residents.
• Assist the resident in boarding and departing from vehicle at all time.
• Be responsible for the maintenance and regular cleaning of the vehicles as per schedule.
• Assist residents in carrying packages as required.
• Other duties assigned by the Transportation Director or Executive Director.
• Observe all traffic safety rules.
• Set up common area rooms for activities when not driving.
• Pick-up tickets at various areas in town for local shows.
• Assist in distributing monthly publications to residents.
• Assist in outside decorating for holidays.
• Actively incorporates Pinnacle standards into everyday performances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
