Are you a confident relationship-builder who enjoys creating opportunities and developing new business? We are seeking an independent, sales-driven Business Development Representative to expand our agency’s community presence and build a strong pipeline of prospective customers.

This position is ideal for someone who has demonstrated success in sales and lead generation and is comfortable developing business through networking, community events, referrals, and proactive outreach.

Compensation

• $80,000–$100,000 per year
• Opportunity to earn approximately $120,000 annually after two years
• Compensation includes performance-based earning opportunities

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through networking, community involvement, referrals, and outbound prospecting
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and prospective customers
• Conduct consultative conversations to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance options
• Generate and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
• Follow up with leads and guide prospective customers through the sales process
• Track outreach, sales activity, and progress toward established goals
• Represent the agency professionally at community events and networking opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous success in sales and lead generation is required
• Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills
• Independent, self-motivated, and comfortable managing personal performance goals
• Confident initiating conversations and asking for new business
• Consultative approach to sales and customer relationships
• Organized and consistent with follow-up
• Must be willing to obtain applicable insurance licenses after accepting an offer
• Candidates who are already licensed are preferred
