Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12.0 hours per week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises LPNs, CNAs, and orientees while embracing the company's core values: delivering superior quality care, treating others well, achieving objectives, and being resourceful teamwork-oriented professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis, collaborating with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent patient information among care providers for continuity of care and safety.
• Oversee and train ancillary nursing personnel, organizing and prioritizing effectively.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, following all policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and support team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested after orientation.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific facilities only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.
