Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines
• Applies critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in care delivery
• Monitors patient status, administers medications per orders, and evaluates patient response
• Participates in discharge planning and patient education to support safe transitions
• Maintains thorough and accurate documentation of care provided and patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• ER nursing experience preferred; ability to work nights on a travel assignment
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Ability to function effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
