About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the primary steward of its financial resources and a strategic advisor to the President and the Board of Trustees. The CFO will be responsible for executive leadership and oversight of all financial functions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This mission-critical role involves leading the financial planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, student financial services, grants and federal compliance, procurement, and risk management. The successful candidate will be a core member of the President's Cabinet, translating the institution's strategic plan into financial forecasts, and representing the College in various financial relationships. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and at least 7-10 years of senior financial leadership experience, including a background in higher education finance or a comparable nonprofit/public sector environment. The role requires a deep understanding of fund accounting, FASB not-for-profit reporting standards, and multi-source revenue institutions. Experience in federal grant administration and a working knowledge of federal student financial aid regulations are essential. The CFO will also be involved in budget development, fiscal oversight, and maintaining statutory compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are a must, and a CPA license is a preferred qualification.
