Production Shift Manager

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL (On-site) Shift: Evening/Night Shift Our client is seeking a Production Shift Manager to oversee nightly manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and GMP‑compliant execution of the production plan. This role manages shift activities, supervises operators, maintains documentation, and supports continuous improvement across processes and equipment. Responsibilities Lead all production activities during the shift; resolve issues and ensure smooth operations. Oversee key manufacturing steps including raw material charging, sampling, packaging, and cleaning. Maintain accurate GMP documentation (SOPs, batch records, cleaning records). Ensure clear communication and handoff between shifts. Enforce EHS standards and coordinate emergency response when needed. Supervise and coach hourly production operators; uphold company policies. Coordinate equipment maintenance and support validation and project activities. Participate in investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA development. Provide technical guidance and training to operators. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and/or experience in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Manufacturing leadership experience. Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred. Prior supervision of an hourly workforce. #J-18808-Ljbffr
