Pharmacy Retail Supervisor – Peridot, AZ
Contract Opportunity – 13+ Weeks

An experienced Pharmacy Retail Supervisor is needed to manage daily pharmacy operations in Peridot, AZ. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards within a retail pharmacy environment, with a preference for candidates local to the area but open to travelers willing to commit to this contract position.

Location:

  • Peridot, Arizona

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours/week
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards
  • Develop, monitor, and integrate financial and operational goals to improve department performance
  • Lead the creation and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance service effectiveness and operational processes
  • Manage staff performance, including training and professional development
  • Oversee inventory and purchasing to maintain cost-effective, timely medication access
  • Implement and monitor pharmacy technician systems for accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare reports, track progress on initiatives, and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in orientation, training, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD strongly preferred
  • Minimum three years of pharmacist experience; hospital practice experience preferred
  • At least two years of management experience preferred
  • Residency (PGY1) preferred
  • Current, active, and unrestricted Pharmacist license required; Arizona license preferred
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire
  • Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
