Location: Columbus, Ohio Job Type: Full-Time | All Shifts Available Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Shift Differential: +$2.00/hour for 2nd shift

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 7:00 am 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm 11:00 pm (+$2.00/hour differential)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm 7:00 am
• Weekend availability required as scheduled

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician serves as a frontline mentor and support system for youth in a residential treatment setting. This role combines direct supervision, behavioral support, and participation in therapeutic programming to promote stability, safety, and progress toward treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of residents
• Provide structure and implement appropriate behavioral interventions
• Document interactions and progress using EMR and daily logs
• Co-facilitate therapy and psychoeducational groups
• Support residents in achieving individualized treatment goals
• Engage youth in structured activities and one-on-one mentoring
• Communicate observations and concerns to clinical leadership
• Assist clinical and case management teams as needed
• Transport residents to appointments when required
• Administer medications if properly trained
• Participate in required training and professional development

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 23 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, residential treatment, or a related field
• Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
• Valid transportation

Work Location

This is an in-person position based in Columbus, OH (43207). Candidates must be able to reliably commute.
