INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITATOR QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum bachelor's degree
2. Valid teacher license with appropriate grade level core curriculum endorsement
3. Minimum three years teaching experience relative to the specific responsibilities of the position
4. Meets health and physical requirements

JOB GOAL
To provide school-level mentoring, training, content area support, and professional development to teachers in order to strengthen the instructional program at the building level

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Participates in data review and monitors instructional needs based on data analysis, to include implementation of the state and local curriculum
2. Acts as an instructional leader, capable of providing informed analysis and advice about curriculum and instruction based on research and the analysis of assessment data
3. Provides mentoring support, lesson modeling, feedback, and professional development for teachers
4. Coordinates the school-level teacher mentoring program
5. Applies the instructional coaching cycle to provide support to classroom teachers
6. Provides support to classroom teachers to make data actionable in the classroom
7. Facilitates professional learning community (PLC) processes in the assigned school and conducts fidelity monitoring of PLC process implementation
8. Models teacher leadership and supports the principal in the development of teacher leadership
9. Assist in curriculum development and the implementation of state standards.
10. Organizes and implements staff development opportunities by proposing, planning, and conducting inservice activities based on teacher and school need
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal (in coordination with the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction)

5. Communication: Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written forms

WORK CONDITIONS Most work will be performed in the classroom environment with students present.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. 200-day teacher contract
2. Teacher salary scale

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR Principal (in coordination with assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction)
