Veterinary Technician

Cocoa Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment— balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands‑on procedural support. In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit. Responsibilities include: Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Assisting in surgery Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment. Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $16-20 per hour, for each hour worked This is a flexible, full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday Full‑time Benefits Package*: Bonus package: Up to $500-$2,000 depending on experience and credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law *Part‑time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Anesthetic monitoring, surgical assistance, and recovery preferred Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography preferred Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics Radiology positioning, patient restraint, and low‑stress handling Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and commitment to high‑quality patient care Why choose Cocoa Veterinary Hospital?
