Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced External Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Level IV trained in Labor and Delivery - Familiar with Magnesium and Insulin Drips - Advanced NRP certification - Experience with Advanced External Fetal Monitoring Description: We are seeking a Level IV trained Labor and Delivery nurse. This facility features a 15-bed labor and delivery unit, a 20-bed high-risk unit, and an 8-bed OB triage area. The nurse must be experienced in adhering to guidelines for patient care during labor. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining a patient ratio of 1:1 in active labor and two patients in early, latent labor. Responsibilities include acting as charge nurse in both labor and delivery and the high-risk unit, as well as assisting with deliveries. The position requires commitment to working scheduled shifts, including every third weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates should possess required certifications and be capable of floating to other locations if necessary. We emphasize a commitment to reliability and attendance.
