As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, controlling entry and exit, and responding to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility generation location. Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with established site requirements. Maintain accurate access logs, issue and recover visitor badges or credentials, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
