For additional information about this position or for a status update of your application, please contact: Wendy Rockne View email address on click.appcast.io Position Information Position Description At the Bridgewater State University Writing Studio, friendly peer consultants provide helpful feedback to student writers working at all levels of the writing process. They provide support for any form of writing, regardless of the genre or course discipline. The Writing Studio consultant will be responsible for providing students with feedback on their writing (and/or supporting them in generating ideas) in a friendly, caring manner. Please Note: Filling out this application is the second step in our hiring process; the first step is to submit two writing samples, one of which should be in an academic genre. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal skills Excellent writing skills Openness to receiving constructive criticism Eagerness to work in a team environment Eagerness to take initiative Ability to “meet students where they are” rather than seeing them as deficient Requirement Must be able to take ENGL 204 during the first two semesters that you work in the Writing Studio. ENGL 204 is a one-unit class (repeatable for credit) that meets on Mondays from 1:50-2:40pm.
