UNC Rex OB Hospitalist invites you to become part of our dynamic, expanding group serving the Triangle community. Here, you will join a dedicated team of physicians and midwives providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care at our UNC Rex (Raleigh) location. The incoming physician will gain colleague support from established physicians and midwives, great clinical support, a welcoming community, and a supportive schedule for work/life balance.

Practice Details:

• Established group of 7 OB/GYNs, 7 CNMs, and 1 WHNP
• Full time position of (7) 24 hr or (14) 12 hr shifts within a (28) day period
• Shifts consist of (2) providers: 1 MD/DO and 1 CNM to support service
• Hospitalist can expect 30-40 deliveries per month
• Da Vinci robotics available at UNC Rex (Raleigh) Hospital
• 21 Bed Level 4 NICU by North Carolina standards, Level 3 NICU by American Academy of Pediatrics
• NICU is 27 weeks and up
• 24/7 Neonatology - Neonatologists onsite during the day and on call at night. NNP in house 24/7
• EPIC (EHR) w/ AI Scribe capabilities to utilize during documentation
• Collaborative and collegial team welcoming of experienced and new providers

• Competitive base hourly rate

Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Board Certified OBGYN, DEA, ACLS, MD

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English. Reasoning Ability: High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in OBGYN.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds required.

Work Environment: Physician generally works in a medical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
