Position: Coffee House (Assistant Manager) Team Lead Location: Albuquerque, NM Job Id: 207 # of Openings: 1 At Piñon Coffee House , we believe coffee brings people together. Our mission is simple: “Enriching lives through the love of coffee.” As a Team Lead , you’ll play a vital role in shaping our café culture—supporting the Store Manager, guiding the barista team, and making sure every customer leaves with a smile (and maybe a bag of our legendary coffee). ⭐ What You’ll Do Lead by example, ensuring every customer receives efficient, friendly, superior service with a “customer first” mindset. Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily café operations and step in as lead when needed. Maintain a clean, safe, inclusive, and organized café environment . Train, coach, and develop team members to deliver quality drinks and service . Communicate promotions, product knowledge, and company goals effectively to the team. Act as a keyholder , helping with opening/closing responsibilities and protecting both product and people. Use checklists and standard procedures to execute smooth, quality shifts . Assist with ordering, receiving, and managing café supplies. What We’re Looking For A natural leader with strong people skills , able to stay calm and positive in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and committed to being a reliable part of the team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs , stand/walk for an entire shift, and perform physical tasks (bending, reaching, pulling, etc.). Experience in food service, coffee, or customer service is a plus—but a great attitude and willingness to learn go even further! Food handler’s certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
