District Sales Representative

Summary of the Job:

The District Sales Representative (DSR) will provide a tactical approach to supporting an assigned district. Position will manage an existing customer base volume of approximately 65 customers ($1.2-$1.6M) and will be responsible for account retention and growing this base business through new sales within this existing customer base. In addition, the DSR will be responsible for achieving a New Account Sales Target of $350K of new invoiced business on a R12 basis. The primary focus is to drive consistent, recurring sales through customized programs such as our Preventative Maintenance, My Tech, Temperature Monitoring, and Water Filtration Programs within our existing customer base and with new customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Achieve/exceed the new business target assigned by the Sales Manager. Maintain and manage an active prospect list of all potential customers in the assigned market that will be called on regularly until sold. Update and manage CRM tool accordingly.
\n
• Communicate regularly with Smart Care Service Team (Area Manager & District Manager) in the assigned market, keeping them updated on sales pipeline, strategizing on key prospects, and understanding current status of Technician Team in district. Partner with the Service Team to achieve district growth and utilization objectives.
\n
• Manage assigned existing customer base volume according to QCM T-65 protocols, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, base business growth, and account retention metrics are met.
\n
• Perform quarterly value audits of all assigned accounts to merchandise current programs, add additional customer programs/solutions through consultative selling, and to retain and grow the overall customer base business volume.
\n
• Build and maintain internal cross-divisional relationships with key team members with an emphasis on lead sharing and cross-divisional team selling.
\n
• Price agreements in alignment with divisional and corporate pricing approval processes.
\n
• Provide a weekly progress report to AVP Sales Development on all sales objectives.
\n
• Manage and understand Key Reports to effectively manage the business.
\n
• Coordinate and assist with light installation work of our water filtration, remote temperature management, cold temperature control, and other misc. programs.
\n
• Partner and collaborate with the District Manager to effectively grow the business.
\n
• Perform work in a safe manner and use appropriate personal protective equipment where applicable.
\n
• Perform prospect surveys and build professional solution-based proposals to gain new business.
\n

Basic Qualifications:

\n
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
\n
• Two years of food service, food equipment, food safety, or related industry experience, and a minimum of one year of sales experience with a proven track record.
\n
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
\n
• Ability to use pc and pc applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.
\n

• Experience with CRM software tools such as Salesforce.com.
\n
• Previous business-to-business value-add sales experience.
\n
• Demonstrated consistent success and achievement of sales goals in a sales or account management position.

This Territory is covering New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.
