Senior MLOps Engineer

As a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer at Hungryroot, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and operating scalable backend services and data pipelines that support our production ML systems. You will improve the reliability and performance of our services while ensuring observability and integration of new ML models. This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with data scientists and product engineers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs.
• Improve reliability, performance, and observability of production ML systems.
• Manage the lifecycle of trained models, including versioning, rollout, and monitoring.
• Develop clean interfaces for integrating new ML models and decision-making capabilities.
• Strengthen engineering foundations through automated testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

Required skills and qualifications include:

• 5+ years in MLOps, ML engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; Bash for automation.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, and MLflow.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code.
• Solid AWS fundamentals and production observability practices.
