Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a dedicated PreK Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support and nurture 3-year-old children in a dynamic educational setting. Your compassion and expertise will guide early learners with developmental delays, helping each child reach their full potential in a welcoming classroom environment.

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • Active South Carolina Special Education License, including Early Childhood endorsements
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children (age 3 preferred)
  • Ability to develop and adapt individualized lesson plans based on each student's unique needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with families and other educators
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Instruct and support PreK students with developmental delays, focusing on age-appropriate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
  • Develop and carry out individualized curriculum that aligns with students’ IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other specialists to support comprehensive educational plans
  • Communicate regularly with families, providing updates on progress and strategies for continued growth at home
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and program fidelity
  • Provide compassionate care that encourages a love of learning and builds foundational skills
