Job Description Position Overview Focus Counseling Support Services, LLC is actively seeking dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our expanding team. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while allowing therapists to focus on delivering superior care to clients. As a full-time or part-time therapist, you will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload, ranging from 10 to 30 billable hours per week, all performed via telehealth. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Focus Counseling Support Services, you will be responsible for: Conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for clients and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. Providing effective short-term psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities, ensuring clinical competency across various treatment methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. Engaging in crisis intervention and supportive therapy to address immediate client needs, including managing dual disorders. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including licensed psychologists and nurse practitioners, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Utilizing electronic health records and telehealth platforms efficiently, maintaining accurate documentation of sessions and progress notes. Participating in regular quality assurance and clinical team meetings to discuss case management and treatment outcomes. Offering specialized services such as addictions counseling, skills training, stress management, and group therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. We aim to ensure that every client receives compassionate, individualized care that fosters resilience and personal growth. Qualifications To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following: A valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or similar, and the capability to practice in New York State. A Master's or Doctorate degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited institution. A minimum of two years of direct experience providing psychotherapy services. Preferred Experience Preferred qualifications include: Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic health records, demonstrating comfort and familiarity with digital therapy methods. Proven ability to engage and connect effectively with diverse clientele. Knowledge of the latest versions of the DSM for accurate diagnostics and treatment approaches. Compensation and Benefits Focus Counseling Support Services offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 125,000 annually, based on your experience and qualifications.
