What You’ll Do

• Operate and monitor forming and extrusion machines
• Manage the full production process from raw material to finished product
• Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform routine quality checks using calipers and micrometers
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production running smoothly
• Assist with machine changeovers and basic setup tasks
• Accurately document production and quality data

Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance

• Disassemble and reassemble machinery for sanitation and upkeep
• Clean equipment through washing, sanitizing, and polishing
• Help ensure machines are fully operational after maintenance
• Follow all plant sanitation (SSOP) procedures

What You Bring

• 1+ year of machine operating experience OR mechanical training
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
• Ability to use or learn measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
• Comfort with technology and touch-screen controls
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts

Nice to Have:

• Extrusion or plastics experience
• Press or punch machine operation
• Manufacturing or industrial sanitation experience

Work Environment

• Fast-paced plastics manufacturing facility (cups, utensils, etc.)
• Hot, loud environment — hearing protection required
• Active role involving walking, lifting, and climbing stairs
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
• 3/4 schedule with 2 weekends per month

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.59/hr.
