Job Title: ED RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 9 months Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience License: CA RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience - Current CA RN Licensure - BLS (AHA) - ACLS - PALS - NIHSS Description: The ED RN provides competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care. Care is delivered in accordance with unit, department, hospital policies, and standards of care. You will be responsible for managing patients in various situations, including emergencies. The role requires adherence to scientific principles and evidence-based nursing practices. You will provide care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. You must possess skills in areas like emergency medications, chest tube management, and blood product administration. The position involves a variable shift schedule with weekend rotations required. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for effective patient care. Floating to other departments may be required based on census and within the scope of practice.
