Job Responsibilities
- Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and create personalized therapy strategies to help them reach their functional aspirations
- Implement Therapeutic Methods: Apply evidence-based practices to enhance motor abilities, cognitive function, and daily life skills for your patients
- Engage in Collaborative Care: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care that addresses all patient needs
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their loved ones on therapy techniques to encourage progress beyond the clinical setting
- Evaluate and Record Progress: Monitor patient outcomes and adapt treatment approaches as necessary to keep them on track
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Encouraged to pursue continuing education or additional certifications for professional growth
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
- NBCOT certification is mandatory
- A strong commitment to empowering patients to achieve their utmost independence
- Effective communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and clarity
