Job Responsibilities
  • Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and create personalized therapy strategies to help them reach their functional aspirations
  • Implement Therapeutic Methods: Apply evidence-based practices to enhance motor abilities, cognitive function, and daily life skills for your patients
  • Engage in Collaborative Care: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care that addresses all patient needs
  • Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their loved ones on therapy techniques to encourage progress beyond the clinical setting
  • Evaluate and Record Progress: Monitor patient outcomes and adapt treatment approaches as necessary to keep them on track
Educational Background
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Encouraged to pursue continuing education or additional certifications for professional growth
Required Certifications
  • Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
  • NBCOT certification is mandatory
