As part of a collaborative and supportive team, the Mental Health Therapist will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their treatment goals through strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities

  • Deliver strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services to clients in community settings.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' strengths, diagnoses, treatment goals, and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and crisis recovery plans within the first 30 days of treatment.
  • Provide ongoing strength-based planning and therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with internal staff, external agencies, and community supports as needed.
  • Offer crisis intervention services in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular communication regarding clients' status, including changes in mood, functioning, or health and safety concerns.
  • Complete timely and effective clinical documentation for all client interactions.
  • Attend required office trainings and participate in regular clinical supervision sessions.
  • Engage in organizational evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related mental health field.
  • DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist.
  • At least fifteen (15) hours of graduate-level coursework and/or practicum experience in applied intervention strategies or methods addressing behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders.
  • Proficiency with computer systems for documentation and billing.
  • Strong communication and clinical documentation skills.
