Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neuro ICU Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Hours per week: 36 hours Shift length: 12 hours Employment Type: Staff Part Time, Nights This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, and implement care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and at unit level. The RN is responsible for supervising staff, delegating care appropriately, and supporting the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and effective resource management. Provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. Assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. Directs care according to established safety standards, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, aiming to discharge patients with optimal care. Plans and coordinates patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers medications safely and timely per hospital policy; fulfills all HICS responsibilities during emergencies or disasters. Knows all emergency codes and follows corresponding protocols. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing. Experience Preferred: Recent acute care experience.
