Travel Med Surg RN Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Henderson, Kentucky. The role provides an opportunity to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a medical‑surgical and telemetry setting while earning competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications One year of recent Med Surg RN experience. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification. Preferred: NIHSS certification. Preferred: ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification. Other certifications and licenses may be required. Responsibilities Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families. Administer medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards. Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns. Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor responses. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans. Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs while maintaining efficiency. Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use. Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences. Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with external resources. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency with PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skill to work effectively with professionals and ancillary staff. Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and procedural assistance. Mental resilience for high‑pressure environments and irregular activity schedules.
