Commercial Doors Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Doors Project Manager to lead estimation, coordination, and delivery of Division 8 openings, frames, doors, and hardware for commercial construction projects. The role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget installation of door systems (including DFH and other specialty openings) while maintaining compliance with contract documents and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple commercial doors projects from pre-construction through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Develop accurate takeoffs, scope definitions, and cost estimates for Division 8 openings, frames, doors, and hardware (DOORS).Coordinate with general contractors, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve design and technical issues related to openings and frames.Oversee procurement, delivery, and installation of door assemblies and DFH systems; ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.Prepare and manage project budgets, change orders, and billing; track project costs and report status to stakeholders.Create and maintain project schedules, worksite logistics, and installation sequences to meet milestones and minimize disruptions.Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation quality, code compliance, and punch-list completion.Supervise subcontractors and installation crews; provide training and enforce safety and performance standards.Manage client communications and expectations; lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.Maintain accurate project documentation, RFIs, submittals, warranties, and closeout packages.Qualifications5+ years of project management experience in commercial doors, Division 8.Experience creating takeoffs, estimating, scheduling, and managing budgets for door and hardware scopes.Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and hardware specifications, shop drawings, and contract documents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience coordinating with GCs, architects, suppliers, and trades.Demonstrated leadership supervising installation crews and subcontractors; focused on quality and safety.Proficiency with project management software and basic construction estimating tools; proficiency with MS Office.Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites; OSHA or other safety certifications preferred.Commercial Doors Project Manager or Project Manager experience in a construction environment is highly preferred.
