We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of our engineering and sales teams. This is a technical, customer-facing role where you'll own the full integration lifecycle, from pre-sales demos to live technical onboarding post-sales, while working closely with the engineering, Sales, AEs, CX, and product teams.

Your responsibilities will include partnering with AEs on discovery calls and technical demos, translating customer needs into viable integration scopes; owning customer onboarding end-to-end: scoping, building, and launching integrations across CSV/SFTP/Cloud pipelines, webhooks, and third-party platforms (Yotpo, Shopify, etc.); writing and maintaining technical documentation for integrations, both internal and customer-facing; serving as the technical bridge between sales and engineering — triaging issues, surfacing product feedback, and flagging edge cases upstream; handling inbound technical questions from prospects and existing customers during the sales cycle; collaborating with AEs and CX to ensure smooth handoffs post-launch; and bringing and discussing feature requests with our Product and Engineering teams.

In your first 6 months, you'll become an expert on Endear's platform capabilities and integration points, successfully deliver 5+ customer-specific solutions that measurably improve key metrics, and establish strong relationships with customer stakeholders across multiple enterprise brands.

In your first year, you'll be seen as a trusted partner to our top customers, with demonstrated impact on revenue expansion metrics; measurably improve our ability to rapidly deploy and configure Endear for new customers; and contribute reusable components, tools, and best practices that increase the leverage of the entire Customer Engineering function.

You'll thrive in this role if you have experience with a forward deployed engineer, sales engineering, or solutions engineering role, ideally in an early stage tech startup; explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and getting on calls with customers without hand-holding; being self-directed and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment and capable of building 1→N; and our tech stack: reading and vibe-coding: Python, Node.js, SQL highly preferred; Pipedream, n8n, or similar workflow automation tools; Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI-based development tools; data pipelines, file-based imports (CSV), and webhook-based integrations.

Nice to have: Retail, E-Commerce, or CRM experience is a strong plus; familiarity with GraphQL APIs; experience filling out RFPs and Security Questionnaires; background in or passion for retail / luxury fashion.

You'll partner most closely with: CTO (JP Grace) for technical leadership, architecture, and strategic priorities; Engineering Manager (Ini Becker) for team management, engineering delivery, team health, and development practices; Sales for identifying how technical solutions can help expand revenue at key accounts; Customer Success for smooth implementation handoff; and Product for translating customer needs into roadmap initiatives.

Our hiring process includes a 20–30 minute screen with a recruiter, a behavioral interview with the CTO, a technical panel interview, a final conversation with the Executive Team, and an offer.
