Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Evanston, IL

This contract position offers an opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services at a major medical center's main campus. The role focuses on delivering high-quality inpatient care during overnight hours, making a difference in patient outcomes through precise medication management and collaboration.

Start Date: June 15

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• Overnight shifts
• 4 shifts per week
• 10 hours per shift (9:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical inpatient pharmacy duties, including evaluating and verifying medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure proper medication preparation and delivery
• Check and verify intravenous (IV) medications to maintain safety and compliance
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for medication reconciliation and documentation

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
• Proficient use of EPIC or similar EMR systems
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with healthcare teams and pharmacy staff
