As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Protection in Plainfield, IN , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, exits, stockroom areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior, and respond to incidents or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and the documentation of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence at the location while supporting a welcoming shopping environment and following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
