Banking & Finance Associate

A leading New York law firm is seeking a 2nd or 3rd year Banking & Finance Associate with experience in syndicated lending, structured finance, project finance, equipment leasing, secured transactions, or related financing matters. Experience in real estate finance is particularly desirable. Candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar, while a strong academic record, higher-tier law school education and large-firm experience are preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Banking, Corporate and Real Estate Partners and Senior Associates on a wide range of sophisticated financing transactions, representing both lenders and borrowers. The position provides significant exposure to Partners and clients, together with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and develop strong technical and commercial skills. An exceptional work ethic, attention to detail and enthusiasm for professional development are essential. The practice advises major and middle-market financial institutions on mutual fund and middle-market lending, while also representing middle-market and real estate borrowers across a broad range of financing transactions. Associates will benefit from an interdisciplinary environment, collaborating regularly with Corporate, Real Estate and Entertainment Lawyers on complex matters.
