LAB Support Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Lab Services & Administrative Support professional. This critical role combines laboratory support with administrative functions, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within our busy environment. Key Responsibilities: Performing in-office urine drug screen (UDS) collections Operating in-office laboratory equipment for initial testing Preparing and packaging specimens for external lab confirmation Maintaining chain-of-custody documentation Ensuring proper labeling and accurate specimen handling Monitoring supply inventory and restocking needs Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment Complying with CLIA, OSHA, and CPSS policies Maintaining HIPAA confidentiality at all times Assisting with check-in and registration when needed Helping route calls or patient messages during high-volume periods Supporting prior authorization or referral workflows Preparing, scanning, and uploading documents to the EHR Assisting leadership with operational projects or logs Maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in laboratory science or administration is a plus. Prior experience in a laboratory setting or administrative role is desirable. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
