Acute Medicine Clinical Nurse Days

Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing patients with diverse clinical conditions such as blood disorders, endocrine issues, heart and kidney failure, infectious diseases, and respiratory conditions. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, social workers, and therapists to deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, alongside ongoing professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, coordinating across the continuum of care. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Works in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and safe practices. Qualifications & Skills Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree and RN license; no prior experience required. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
