This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Curriculum Development & Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in United States.
This part-time opportunity is designed for an experienced OSINT professional who can combine deep intelligence tradecraft with strong curriculum development expertise.
You will support the continued development and delivery of a comprehensive OSINT training program for a U.S. Government initiative supporting a partner nation.
The role blends technical subject-matter expertise, instructional design, faculty mentoring, and curriculum validation.
You will translate complex OSINT concepts into practical, teachable, and operationally relevant training materials.
The position involves remote work within the continental United States alongside periodic overseas travel for partner-nation engagements.
You will collaborate with U.S. Government and international stakeholders while helping ensure training aligns with U.S. and NATO standards.

Accountabilities
- Provide expert-level guidance on OSINT concepts, methodologies, tools, and operational tradecraft throughout the curriculum development process.
- Advise on and validate course content, lesson plans, training modules, practical exercises, and other instructional materials to ensure technical accuracy and operational relevance.
- Translate advanced OSINT concepts into clear, teachable, and actionable instructional content for diverse learners.
- Apply the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model to support structured curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of individual and collective OSINT training programs, including curriculum reviews, validation activities, pilot-course support, and improvement recommendations.
- Mentor and advise partner-nation faculty, helping instructors effectively deliver OSINT training and apply appropriate tradecraft.
- Contribute expertise across advanced search, open-source GEOINT, Dark/Deep Web research, data analysis, OPSEC, attribution management, and related OSINT methodologies.
- Collaborate with U.S. Government and international stakeholders through virtual and in-person facilitation, ensuring curriculum objectives remain aligned with mission requirements.
- Support periodic overseas engagements and in-person partner-nation training activities as part of a broader U.S. Government team.
- Help ensure curriculum and instructional practices are consistent with applicable U.S. and NATO intelligence and training standards.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of dedicated, hands-on OSINT experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting open-source information within intelligence, military, law enforcement, cybersecurity, or national security environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with OSINT tools, techniques, and methodologies, including advanced search, GEOINT from open sources, Dark/Deep Web research, data analysis, OPSEC, and attribution management.
- Proven experience designing, developing, reviewing, or substantially contributing to technical or intelligence-focused training curricula.
- Practical experience applying the ADDIE instructional design model to curriculum development or improvement.
- Ability to transform complex OSINT concepts and intelligence tradecraft into practical, understandable, and actionable training content.
- Experience developing individual and collective OSINT training, including lesson planning, curriculum validation, pilot-course advising, and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience working within military, Intelligence Community, law enforcement, or security-agency environments.
- Familiarity with NATO and/or U.S. intelligence and training standards.
- Experience collaborating with U.S. and international stakeholders through both virtual and in-person facilitation.
- Active U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Department of War Secret security clearance or higher.
- Military Instructor qualification or equivalent instructor certification is preferred.
- Relevant OSINT certifications or formal training, such as GIAC GOSI, SANS SEC497, or equivalent military/government OSINT programs, is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, National Security, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous advisory or training experience within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility is advantageous.
- Strong communication, facilitation, mentoring, analytical, and instructional skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and organizational environments.
