Wastewater Operations Supervisor (DRC)

Overview PUCI is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to provide Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) of our wastewater systems. This role oversees daily operations, supervises field staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains efficient system performance. Responsibilities Supervise and schedule operations staff; coordinate routine, training, and emergency work Oversee system operations, maintenance, and equipment performance Ensure compliance with safety standards and Department of Health Regulations Manage inventory, procurement, and contractor coordination Support budgeting, reporting, and operational planning Assist with routine system operations, inspections, and on-call duties Experience Valid Driver's License Hawaii wastewater certifications (Grade 3 or 4) 8+ years of wastewater experience Strong leadership, communication, training, and organizational skills Knowledge of pumps, motors, and system maintenance practices Smith & Loveless Sewer Pump Stations a plus Physical Requirements Ability to perform field work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various environmental conditions Onsite housing quarters an option.
