Staffing Structure

Day Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 1 Triage Nurse
- 6 Registered Nurses (RNs)
- 1 Scrub Tech
- 1 Secretary
Night Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 1 Triage Nurse
- 5 Registered Nurses (RNs)
- 1 Scrub Tech
- 1 Secretary

Patient Care Information

Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity

Qualifications

Required Skills

Proficient in starting IVs and drawing labs
Ability to interpret fetal strips
Proficiency in vaginal exams and OB circulator

Personality Fit

Floating Areas

This is a closed unit. Casual/Locum staff may float to postpartum.

Dress Code

Nursing staff are required to wear teal scrubs, while tech staff should wear navy scrubs.

Unit Policies and Guidelines

Staff will rotate weekends and be on call for potential circulator duties. Please refer to unit policies for additional information.
