About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Development to play a pivotal role in driving business growth and managing strategic initiatives within the rapidly evolving energy market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to the business development team, overseeing team performance, and managing key aspects of commercial operations. This includes fostering a collaborative and motivated team culture, ensuring the team meets sales targets, and continuously evaluating and enhancing administrative and sales processes. The role also involves acting as a critical liaison between executive leadership and the sales team, providing strategic support in the bid process, and ensuring internal best practices are upheld in customer contract development. Applicants for the Vice President of Commercial Development position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior administrative, sales operations, or sales management role, with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite is required, with a focus on reporting and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in managing sales professionals, strong organizational and analytical skills, and experience in managing commercial processes from inception to contract. Additionally, a minimum of 6 years' experience in project management within the battery storage and/or renewables space, with a working knowledge of project controls and requirements, is essential.
