About the Role

Join an automotive manufacturer where your expertise in plastics and injection molding keeps production moving smoothly through the night. As an Injection Molding Process Technologist, you will operate and fine-tune molding equipment, perform material changeovers, and collaborate closely with shift supervisors, molding schedulers, and fellow technicians to uphold quality and throughput.

You clock in at 10:30pm, review the molding schedule, and scan E-Dart and Insight data from the last run. If a process drifts, you cycle in and troubleshoot to bring it back into spec. You document key parameters in the process monitoring log and adjust K-cuts as needed. During setup and production, you leverage E-Dart, Insight, and E.O.A.T.S. to validate performance and consistency. When a mold change is on deck, you assist the die setter and transport molds to and from the tool room. Throughout the shift, you communicate special instructions and any mold, equipment, or product concerns to your supervisor, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders. You help keep the area clean and safe while driving machine utilization, efficiency, and part quality so the team hits the production plan.

• Operate equipment and conduct material changeovers to support production demands
• Cycle in and troubleshoot processes to meet quality standards
• Monitor process parameters with precision and record them in the process monitoring log
• Use E-Dart, Insight, and E.O.A.T.S. during setup and production; set up and adjust K-cuts
• Assist the die setter with mold changes and transport molds to and from the tool room
• Communicate mold, equipment, and product concerns or special instructions to supervisors, QA, and other appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Support the supervisor in achieving the production schedule through strong machine utilization, efficiency, and part quality

• 3rd shift: 10:30pm-8:00am Sunday-Thursday (OT as needed)
• Compensation: 31.00-39.00 per hour

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
• Steady performance in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
• Prolonged periods of standing and or walking during an 8 hours shift
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• Manual dexterity to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; ability to reach with hands and arms; and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of plastics and plastic injection molding processes
