Associate Attorney

We are seeking an attorney to work as an associate in a small law firm located in Southwest Georgia.Applications will be accepted from current 3L law students, recent law graduates, and lateral attorney hires.All applicants must be currently barred in Georgia, or have the intention of being barred in Georgia within the next calendar year. For current 3L law students, applicants in the top 20% of their class year are preferred, but not required.For lateral attorney hires, prior experience in a particular area is not required.The attorney must have strong legal research and writing skills, have a vigorous work ethic, and be driven to provide a stellar work product. We serve as the general counsel for private businesses and as the designated attorney for local governments and authorities throughout Southwest Georgia.We also have a general practice representing individuals in various capacities, including, but not limited to, contracts, real estate, estate planning, litigation, and commercial transactions. The attorney would work primarily in the firm’s business, contracts, real estate, estate planning, and general transactional practice.The attorney would also research and advise clients on legal requirements affecting their businesses, including how to manage legal risks, structure business transactions, implement business decisions, and maintain compliance with applicable laws. If desired, the attorney would have the opportunity to work on litigation matters. The annual salary is a minimum of $150,000.Depending on education, experience, and other relevant factors, the annual salary may exceed $200,000.In addition, the attorney will have an opportunity to receive an annual bonus and will receive a stipend for health insurance.Minimum of 15 days of paid time off plus standard holidays.Some remote work may be permitted.Annual billable hours target is 1,800 hours but may vary based on attorney’s preferences (with compensation adjusted accordingly).Opportunity for future partnership is available. #J-18808-Ljbffr
