Key Responsibilities

  • Foster one-on-one therapy sessions centered around issues of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to create integrated care strategies.
  • Provide essential education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Support occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Document clinical findings diligently while adhering to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuous education and participation in peer-driven collaborative efforts.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification not yet obtained.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of employment.
