Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Huntington, West Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/14/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 14, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week academic medical center assignment requiring 2 years of critical care experience and WV or compact RN licensure.Details\n \n in in the ICU of a regional academic medical center\n care for critical care patients including neuro ICU, surgical ICU, and cardiovascular cases\n patient ratio of 1:2\n duties include pre/post cardiac catheterization or intervention care and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring\n rotating 3x12 hour shifts between days (0700-1900) and nights (1900-0700) with no fixed cadence\n self scheduling available\n Cerner charting system required\n Requirements\n \n Active WV or compact RN license required\n Minimum 2 years of RN experience required\n Prior critical care experience required\n Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS\n PALS and TNCC certifications preferred\n Cerner EMR experience preferred\n Prior travel nursing experience preferred\n Prior charge nurse experience preferred\n Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred\n Skills needed include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, EVD/ICP monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips\n Two professional references required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive critical care nursing services to patients with complex and multisystem conditions\n Work in a 303-bed academic medical center serving patients from West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and southern Ohio\n Must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing contract\n Travel pairs are not accepted for this position\n Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted\n First-time travelers may be considered for this role\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-743567.
