Details Level III trauma hospital's ICU/Critical Care unit Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatric patients Currently a 5-bed unit, soon expanding to a 10-bed ICU Patient ratios of 2-3:1 Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric (SI) cases Utilizes ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers Uses Medhost EHR system Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements No floating required Requirements Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state or compact license) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications required) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Critical care experience required Strong critical thinking skills required Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start Additional Information Provide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients Collaborate closely with a supportive, team-oriented unit Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment First-time travelers may be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-743330.
