Public Relations Manager

Role Description Luxury French cosmetics company, Sisley-Paris Group, is looking for an energetic Public Relations Manager for our in-house PR Team for the Sisley, Hair Rituel by Sisley and Neurae brands. The PR Manager is a vital part of our department in driving the brand’s overall awareness through public relations initiatives to generate visibility for our new product launches, boutiques, spas and unique family story. Ideal candidates will have three to five years of experience in public relations, preferably in the beauty industry. This role will be reporting to two directors and have a coordinator under them as well as interns. Responsibilities General Must be an independent thinker with hands‑on, can‑do, “roll up your sleeves” attitude, an open‑minded team player with a collaborative attitude. Must be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and have the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented and high‑energy environment. Ability to work well in a team environment but flexible working independently, meeting goals and deadlines. Show an in‑depth understanding of the media landscape, ensuring that you stay abreast of key US and Canadian senior press and publication information. Develop and nurture strong media and industry contacts to leverage content and partnership opportunities as well as securing regular pieces of coverage. Show an in‑depth understanding of the influencer network as well as celebrity hair stylist and makeup artist network. Proactively pitch and secure media coverage. Develop concepts and ideas for generating media coverage. Manage product mailings from start to finish including brainstorming the creative concept, providing target lists, etc. Deliver internal and external documents with a keen attention to detail; Communicate with the French PR team at headquarters and help move important projects along. Ensure team is monitoring media daily, including newspapers, magazines, broadcast and online channels for client opportunities and to keep abreast of competitor news. Review monthly press and influencer reports prepared by the PR coordinator and assist with analysis of results. Oversee updates to all contact lists and ensure product requests are sent in a timely manner. Mailings & Product Management Oversee inventory of products to ensure that the products are ordered, arrive on time and are put away properly. Lead execution of all editor and influencer mailings alongside the team. Brainstorm creative concepts, manage vendors, order products, draft mailing cards and work on creative with the in‑house team, create mailing lists, create mailing labels, and organize and pack all mailer boxes in coordination with our warehouse. Oversee the sample request process, partnering with the cross‑functional teams to coordinate the fulfillment of all incoming sample inquiries from media outlets, makeup artists, hair stylists, and influencers while updating and monitoring the shipment tracker and sending tracking to recipients. Reporting & Media Lists Create reports following large events, product mailers, etc. to recap initiatives and highlight key results, feedback and learnings. Assist in researching targets for organic seeding and outreach through different platforms. Work with headquarters to identify targets for larger content partnerships and spearhead from start to finish (i.e. create content briefs, send products, manage timelines, etc.). Oversee the monitoring of influencer coverage through different platforms and identify retained opportunities. Events Assist in and manage the planning and execution of PR events in key markets (i.e. product launches, desk‑side meetings, boutique openings, press trips, etc.). Required Experience and Skills 3‑5 years of communications experience, preferably in the beauty industry, with an understanding of luxury media, influencer space, and the editorial landscape. Prior experience must be as an Account Manager / Senior Account Executive in beauty PR. Robust experience in press management with excellent relationships. Influencer marketing expertise is a plus. Established industry and editorial relationships are a plus. Proactive, flexible, organized, and hardworking. Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities.
