Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year. Paid Holidays Birthday off with pay Responsibilities: Help implement the lesson that the lead teacher created. Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...). Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpoles App) Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background. Collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards. Desired Skills and Experience: Experience working in a licensed childcare facility 45 DCF Training Hours (One year to complete all courses and exams) CDA preferred Understanding of the principles of child development Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as a mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain #J-18808-Ljbffr
