Phlebotomy Team Lead

Job Responsibilities Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties Assist in start and setup of new client locations Support administrative operations for the phlebotomy team in the local market Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs Address any customer‑service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and make schedule adjustments as needed Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications 3 or more years of phlebotomy experience working in a clinical or hospital environment 2 or more years of experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric‑geriatric) Current or prior LabCorp experience Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Will cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (75+ miles) Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑volume work environments Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test Be 21 years of age or older Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program: PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
